Day 1: Jodhpur

This itinerary in India takes you to the heart of Rajasthan, a region famous for its majestic castles, royal palaces, and historic forts that tell centuries of history, power, and warrior traditions. Here, the architecture of the Rajput forts rises over deserts and hills, offering unforgettable landscapes and a unique cultural heritage.
You will explore these territories on the legendary Marwari, a native horse of Rajasthan considered a true symbol of the local equestrian heritage. This breed, famous for its distinctive curved ears, endurance in extreme climates, and historical connection to Rajput warriors, represents a fundamental part of the culture and traditions of the region. Historically trained for desert travel and battle, Marwaris still embody the elegance, courage, and endurance that make riding through this land a unique experience.
An adventure that combines history, culture, and nature, crossing ancient forts and traditional villages on these noble horses — a profound and authentic way to discover the soul of Rajasthan.
Pick-up from Jodhpur domestic airport (JDH) and transfer to the hotel for some relaxation. After lunch, depart for a short but fascinating visit to the old city of Jodhpur, including a walk through the lively traditional markets inside the walls surrounding Mehrangarh Fort. An ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of the “Blue City,” among colorful stalls, spices, local crafts, and glimpses of everyday life, in the shadow of the imposing fort. Dinner and overnight at Ratan Villas Palace Hotel.
Day 2:
JODHPUR / KESHAR (B/L/D)
Breakfast and departure at 10:00 for a day dedicated to discovering the wonders of Jodhpur. The morning begins with a visit to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, the city’s symbol, followed by Jaswant Thada, the picturesque white marble cenotaph, and the Umaid Bhawan Palace, an elegant royal residence blending history and luxury.
Lunch at a renowned Jodhpur hotel, savoring the authentic flavors of Rajasthani cuisine. In the afternoon, transfer to Keshar Bagh Heritage Hotel, arriving around 17:00. The evening ends with dinner at the castle and overnight stay, experiencing a unique stay in an authentic historic residence of Rajasthan.
Day 3:
KESHAR / JOJAWAR (B/L/D)
Early wake-up at 6:00 and departure by bus to Phulad railway station. Board a scenic narrow-gauge train to Goram Ghat, for a unique panoramic journey through green valleys, sparkling waterfalls, and winding tracks amid the Aravalli hills.
After the excursion, return to Kesar Bagh Hotel by train (preference to be communicated in advance) or by bus (more flexibility to enjoy the landscape).
Lunch at Kesar Bagh Hotel, followed by the start of a horseback safari to Rawla Jojawar Castle, covering approximately 20–25 km through authentic Rajasthan landscapes.
The evening comes alive with a folk music and dance show, before dinner and overnight at Jojawar Heritage Castle, fully immersing in the historical and cultural atmosphere of the region.
Day 4: Narlai
JOJAWAR / NARLAI (B/L/D)
Depart for a fascinating horseback ride through local villages and scenic rural landscapes, experiencing the authentic life of Rajasthan communities.
Lunch at Tokarla Village, where traditional dishes are served in an authentic setting.
In the afternoon, continue riding to Kesuli, leave the horses, and board a 4x4 vehicle (gypsy tour) to track leopards in their natural habitat, for an unforgettable safari experience.
Arrival at Narlai Heritage Castle.
The evening includes tasting local liquors and a traditional music and dance show, before dinner and overnight at Narlai Castle, immersed in the historical and cultural atmosphere of Rajasthan.
Day 5:
NARLAI / KOTRI (B/L/D)
Departure for an exciting horseback ride through local villages and rural landscapes, with opportunities to spot Rajasthan wildlife including antelope, leopards, wild boar, and marsh deer.
Lunch at a Village Heritage Farm, enjoying the authentic atmosphere of rural life.
The evening features tasting local liquors and a traditional music and dance show, before dinner and overnight at Kotri Heritage Castle, for a unique experience combining nature, culture, and history.
Day 6: Ranakpur
KOTRI / RANAKPUR (B/L/D)
Depart for a beautiful horseback ride to Muthana Dam, a peaceful spot surrounded by hills and lush vegetation, offering a rare natural scenery.
Lunch on-site, enjoying tranquility and direct contact with nature.
In the afternoon, continue to Maharani Bagh (Queen’s Garden) in Ranakpur, a historic orchard formerly belonging to the Queen of Jodhpur. Here, royal charm and natural beauty combine for a relaxing and memorable experience.
Dinner and overnight at Maharani Bagh Castle, immersed in the elegant and peaceful atmosphere of this historic residence.
Day 7: Ghānerao
RANAKPUR / GHANERAO (B/L/D)
Horseback ride to the majestic Jain temples of Ranakpur, 15th-century marble masterpieces famous for their 1,444 intricately carved pillars, an extraordinary example of sacred art and architecture.
Continue riding to Ghanerao Castle, stopping for lunch at Midway Goddess Temple, discovering hidden gems of the Mewar countryside, among traditional villages and scenic rural landscapes.
Dinner and overnight at Ghanerao Heritage Castle, experiencing the authentic historical atmosphere of this elegant noble residence.
Day 8:
GHANERAO / KUMBHALGARH (B/L/D)
Final day on horseback to Kumbhalgarh Fort, UNESCO World Heritage Site and gem of Rajasthan. Famous for its 36 km long walls, second only to the Great Wall of China, the fort offers a unique combination of history, architecture, and breathtaking views.
Lunch at a local farm in Thandiberi Village, enjoying traditional dishes amid nature.
Overnight at a luxury resort near the fort, to enjoy modern comforts and the magical historical atmosphere of Rajasthan.
Day 9: Udaipur
KUMBHALGARH / UDAIPUR (B/L/D)
Departure by bus to Udaipur, the famous “City of Lakes,” for a day exploring its wonders. Visit City Palace, an imposing royal residence with panoramic lake views, Jagdish Temple, a 17th-century architectural masterpiece, and the scenic Pichola and Fateh Sagar lakes.
Afternoon free for shopping for antiques, jewelry, and traditional clothing.
Evening farewell party, followed by dinner and overnight at an elegant Heritage Hotel in Udaipur, concluding the journey among historical charm and unique Indian atmosphere.
Day 10:
UDAIPUR / ITALY (B/-/-)
Breakfast and transfer to the airport in time for your flight back to Italy from Udaipur Airport (UDR).

HORSES: Marwari, native breed historically trained for war. Introduced to India by Muslim invaders and raised in desert areas. Medium-sized, very elegant, with characteristic inward-curved ears. Horses are considered divine in India, and the local population still respects and maintains a deep ancestral bond with them.
RIDING TIME: 5–6 HOURS PER DAY, using all three gaits on the soft terrains of the region.
